I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
